Construction and Industrial Accidents

Posted by attorney Jason Matzus

Construction sites and industrial sites are dangerous places. Keeping workers safe should be the number one priority. Everyone on a jobsite from the equipment manufactures to project engineers and contractors should do everything possible to minimize the risk of injury at work. In the construction injury, falls are the leading cause of death to workers. Every year, almost 200 people die in construction accident falls and another 100,000 are injured in falls. Another common accident is when a worker is hit in the head by a piece of equipment causing a traumatic brain injury or death. Many workers are injured because the safety equipment they were using was defective or their employer failed to supply the proper safety equipment. Construction accidents are very preventable and avoidable. It is important to investigate every aspect of a construction accident to find out who may be responsible for the unsafe condition that caused the injury.
