Computer Sex Crimes

Many defendants of computer sex crimes (in State and Federal Court) go into court without some basic knowledge of how the images of pornography are stored on their computer. Often these same defendants are charged with multiple charges of illegal images. A careful review of the forensic examination the government will perform on the seized computer will probably show that these images were downloaded in virtually the same second as other illegal images. The science of the internet makes this simultaneous download a real fact. Hence, many of the images the innocent defendant may never have had the chance to even see.

The first thing a defendant should do is examine the report of the government's forensic examination. Next, hire a forensic examiner to conduct a private examination. This could be a critical key to acquittal of these very serious charges.
