Various factors affect the calculations for the appropriate amount of child support to be paid to the custodial parent. The courts considers each party’s income and/or ability to earn income as well as the expenses that each parents pays on behalf of their minor children such as, the costs of providing health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, educational expenses and child care expenses.
