California tax problems originate from any one or more of its tax collection agencies: the Franchise Tax Board, the Board of Equalization and the Employment Development Department. Each agency provides a roadmap to fix your tax problem. The manuals provide tools to fight against liens, levies etc.
1
California Franchise Tax Board
Income tax owed but unpaid in California may be collected by the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) using any number of collection methods described in California's Collection Procedures Manual. The Manual describes the desired culture and philosophy for the Collection Program. See the link below for access to the manual and a solution to your tax problems.
2
California State Board of Equalization
The Board of Equalization collects California state sales and use tax, as well as fuel, alcohol, and tobacco taxes and fees that provide revenue for state government and essential funding for counties, cities, and special districts. See the link below for access to the manual and a solution to your tax problems.
3
California Employment Development Department
The Employment Development Department (EDD) administers the Unemployment Insurance (UI) and Disability Insurance (DI), programs for the State of California. EDD’s Tax Branch collects the funds for UI, DI, and the Employment Training Tax (ETT) to fund California's security system of UI, DI, and employment training programs.
