When a client comes to us, we always tell them to carefully document what they are going through and that includes the pain that they are feeling, the activities that they cannot do. For example, we had a client who was unable to buckle his two-year-old into her child seat for weeks because of his injury, but he was very focused on getting back into his physical activities, so we wanted to be able to show the insurance adjuster and show a jury what he lost during that time. We also tell our clients to obviously carefully follow their doctor's instructions, including any restrictions that the doctor recommends because a lot of them do want to push the envelope on their recovery.
