Defective or dangerous products are those that cause illness, injury, property damage, or death. Many drugs, including the arthritis drug Vioxx, are considered dangerous products, as are some medical devices (heart defibrillators) and ordinary appliances (space heaters). Asbestos and tobacco are also considered inherently dangerous.  Parties from the manufacturer down to the retailer who sells the product can be held liable for products that are dangerous, defective, poorly designed, sold past warranty, or sold without proper instructions or warnings.

If you have been affected by a defective/dangerous product, you should get legal advice to determine if you are eligible for compensation. A defective and dangerous products lawyer discovers how and why a product was defective, whether insurance policies will pay for your losses, and what you can expect to recover in damages.
