What shows up on a background check?

Asked about 1 year ago - Cleveland, OH

In February, I was arrested for petty theft. It was dropped to a minor misdemeanor of disorderly conduct. When a background check is done, what will pop up?

Answered . The minor misdemeanor will most likely show up. The only crimes that, typically, do not show up on background checks are those committed when you are a minor. I would recommend that you are as forthcoming as possible with your prospective employers. There should not be a problem unless you were dishonest on an application, for instance. I wish you the best of luck.
