T.C.A. 30-2-306 involves giving notice to creditors that an estate has been opened. These are often referred to as "death notices", which you will see in the newspaper. Creditors have 4 months from the first date of publication to file a claim aaginst the estate or their claim will be barred. If you are a beneficiary or heir of the estate, then I would suggest contacting an probate attorney to assist you and make sure that your interests are being protected.
You need to retain an estate litigation attorney. This is way beyond your abilities and you have no chance of protecting your interests without such an attorney.
Hope this helps.
