My mom pass away about a month ago

she had a house that she was going to give me but she never finsh her will and i got two boy and one sister what do i got to do to get the house in my name and they know the house is support to be mine

    Answered June 27, 2012 05:39. If you Mom died in NC and she didn't have a will specifically leaving you the house, then by law the house belongs to you and your siblings. The only way to get the house in your name is for your sister to sign her interest over to you, but she is not legally obligated to do so.

    Answered June 27, 2012 06:00. You need to probate her estate and be named as administrator/trix so you have the power to deal with and for her estate. This will allow you to transfer the real estate in accordance with the laws of intestate succession to you and whoever else is entitled to her property.
