My friend came to the US when he was only 2 years old, both his parents are permanent residents, but as he grew up, his parents divorced and seemed to forgot to file his residency. He is now 21, and is struggling to find himself stable to become a permanent resident, what should he do?

    Answered April 26, 2012 09:55. It would be important to know how he came to the U.S. (legally or not), as well as how it was possible for both parents to get permanent residence without doing so for their son too.
