In California, can teachers have medical marijuana cards?

if a teacher has a cancer and smokes marijuana and not on the clock is it justifiable to fire them?

    Answered . On these bare facts, no, it is not lawful to fire the teacher.

    But NO teacher credentialing or employment matter will ever be nothing more than these bare facts. This teacher needs a personal consultation with an attorney who has deep experience with teacher credentialing in California and public school employment.
