IJ granted me asylum. IJ gave 1 month for appeal for DHS(till june 11, 2012). I received unrestricted SSN but driving license center is not giving me drivers license and ID card. Should i be able to get drivers license and ID card? i showed them my court order and new unrestricted SSN but they told me that i need I94 or other letter from uscis. what do i have to do to get drivers license and ID card?
You need to apply for employment authorization (Form I-765), and then use your employment authorization card to apply for a driver's license or other ID.
