If i was divorced in Mississippi do I still need to wait six months to apply for a Fiance visa if i now live in Wisconsin

I was married in Missiouri divorced in Mississipp and now live in Wisconsin

    Answered . Can you make a truthful statement on the petition about your intent to marry within the required time? Note you cannot legally marry outside Wisconsin to avoid a Wisconsin waiting period if a Wisconsin resident.

    Answered . No. As long as have final divorce decree on hand, and unless the document states something like "the parties are free to remarry on...(date)", you can apply for a K-1 visa anytime you want, given that you are legally considered divorced and are legally able to marry again.
