I submitted the form I-130 on January 29,2013. On February 1,2013 they send me a text and email saying my application has been accepted. on February 4,2013 I received a letter with my case number and now I checked my case number online and is on initial review now. Do you know like how long that takes. And I'm going to apply for a I-601 A after I get approved with my I-130
Well, if you are the person who plans to apply for an I-601A, then I suppose that some other person, perhaps your spouse, has filed the I-130 Petition for you ...
Generally, if the relationship is "immediate relative," most I-130 Petitions are decided in 4-6 months. There is no guarantee, however, of the length of time that USCIS will take on a particular case.

When dealing with homeland Security your duty is to be fast and accurate and they reply with the lightning speed of a crippled turtle.
My name is Stephen R. Cohen and I have practiced over 38 years and can be reached at 213-819-1171. I practiced mainly in Los Angeles and Orange County, California. I am not seeking clients from existing relationships with other attorneys, and give only limited advise over the phone (the phone is primarily used to set appointments), these services do not create an attorney client relationship. I apologize for mispelling< as I am a lousy typist, My answers may offend as I do not believe in pulling punches or sugar coating the truth. Further regarding courts in other states my opinions are largely based on logic and what I think is the modern trend which is to consider the needs of the child.
About 4-6 months.
