i judge wants me to get my license but the fine are to much. whats going to happen to me.
The courts like to encourage people to get valid driver's licenses, so we see this frequently. The court likely offered to dismiss, amend the charge or offer lower fines if you can show proof that you have been issued a valid CA driver's license. If you don't have the money, perhaps you could borrow the money from family or friends. When you say that the fines are too much, I suspect that your license was taken for failure to pay fines on old traffic cases. If that is correct and you do not pay the fines on the old cases, I suspect the judge will give you the standard penalties and fines on the new case. At this point it would be best for you to contact a local attorney that regularly practices in the court where you have to appear. If the charge is a misdemeanor, you have a right to a Public Defender.
It depends on why your license was suspended. It seems like your license was suspended initially because of a DUI. If that is the case and you recently were arrested for driving on that suspended license, it is crime that actually comes with a minimum of 10 days in jail and you need to deal with it accordingly. If it was simply that you didn't have your license on you or it was just suspended for another reason, you should talk to the judge as it is likely to get reduced or dismissed, allowing you to get a valid license back.
