I was ticketed for going 88 in a 55 on the I-75 in a Metro Atlanta GA suburb. I have court next week. How do a avoid my insurance being effected by this ticket? Should I get a lawyer or should I plead not guilty?

An attorney familiar with the policies and procedures of the court will know the likelihood of negotiating such a resolution given the circumstances of your case.

Speeding is a civil offense and not a criminal unless you get charged with something. If you are found responsible on the speeding violation then it will affect your insurance. You may want to contact an attorney to represent you depending on how important this issue is to you.
