I had a bill that was sent to a collection agency by my financial aid at my College. After several discussions with the head of financial aid, it was the school who admitted they made a mistake on my transcripts and advised me that they were going to buy the account back from the collection agency and erase it off my account. I have a letter and emails stating all of this. That was last August. I got a notice from the same collection agency in March that I still owe this amount, and they are in process of taking me to court. I have called the school multiple times and have recieved no help other than hearing that they are checking on it. I have threatened legal action and they say give us another week. Is there something that I or someone else can do to get this problem resolved?
