How do i get to explain to the traffic court

my lience is supended because of unpaided tickets, reason i lost my job i went to court they threw some out and i had a payment arrangement but thy kept sending me the same ticket i paid . then i lost my job i went to the court building to get a court date but they would not let me get so do i get a court date to let them know why i could not finish paying and now i have a new job but they won't let me take off, my grandmother been trying to help me what can i do i tried to get a court date but the guards on the first floor would not help.
