Can I sue my employer for being fired for no reason and discrimination due to my teeth?

My boyfriend was told he was going to be let go from his job because his employer was going to be "cleaning house". After he is let go there will be the same amount of employees, making the same wage that he did. When he asked what the problem was and if he could do anything to stop this they said that it is because sales are low and they were pretty much blaming the low sales on him.
He works for a pizza place and deals with the public; he has been there for 2 years and has loyal repeat customers (they come in FOR him), he has very bad teeth but tries to hide them. We think that they have been trying to get rid of him for a while because of his teeth and are just looking for a reason to fire him. Is there any way he can sue them for this??

As an at-will employee, you can quit at any time for any reason, you can be fired for any reason, a rotten reason, or no reason, except unlawful discrimination. If you do not have an employment contract or union to represent you, your recourse is limited. Discrimination based on age, gender, race, religious beliefs etc.... may give rise to a different answer.

If you have a discrimination theory about retaliatory discharge or hostile workplace conditions you'll need a lawyer. Religious belief, age, gender, race etc. all are discriminatory reasons for which you cannot be legally fired and upon which you might base a wrongful termination suit.
