And if I don't get approve to sponsor him what else could I do? And is there a time limit on getting a sponsor after being married?
If you are not able to be the sole sponsor, find a joint sponsor.
Mr. Shusterman is a former INS Trial Attorney (1976-82) with over 35 years of immigration experience. His response to your question is general in nature, as not all the facts are known to him. You should retain an attorney experienced in immigration law to review all the facts in your case in order to receive advice specific to your case. Mr. Shusterman's statement above does not create an attorney/client relationship.
If you do not meet the federal income requirements to be the sole sponsor, you will need to secure a joint sponsor as well. Read the instructions on the I-864 form about joint sponsorship. You should consult with a family based immigration attorney to help you with the process.
