Can hob visa holder have equity in the company they work for ?

I have an 1 with my company and they are willing to give me some equity in the company ( on top of my salary ) , perhaps 20 - 30s ownership , is that allowed ? Thanks .

    Answered February 19, 2013 23:34. "Some" ownership interest is OK ... but 30% is getting a bit 'close' to being a problem. If these are non-voting shares, it gets better.
