The tax preparer cannot file joint individual income tax returns without the federal fom 8879 and state form 8453 being signed by both spuses. If the preparer did file without the proper signatures you are not liable to the government and the preparer is liable to you for any damages suffered, such as the cost of an attorney to straignten the mess out.
If your husband forged your name to these forms, and you can prove it, then you are not liable to the government and your husband is liable to you for any damages suffered, such as the cost of an attorney to straighten the mess out.
