FlagI was charged with petty theft in November and am half way through my probation. I was just wondering, will it be completely off my record or In a background check will it show up? Please let me know! Thanks!
The record of arrest will still remain on your record. It will show the case was pending and then dismissed. You will need to file a petition for expunction in civil court to remove the arrest and all records of your arrest. Sometimes, the waiting period on the Pretrial Diversion Contract can be circumvented depending on your situation.
