Can I sue my former employer?

I worked for almost four years at a company which allowed employees to transfer locations. After I had been employed for 2.5 years, I transferred locations, and my manager at the time accidentally separated me from the company. Instead of reversing the separation, they rehired me, making me ineligible for the vacation hours I would have otherwise accrued over the next year. When I realized this, I called HR. They said nothing could be done, and that the mistake should have been caught within 30 days to reverse the separation. They also said that since there was a 3-week gap between the times I worked at the two locations, I would have been separated anyway. Had I been informed of the impending gap, I would've applied for a 30-day leave of absence, maintaining my standing in the company.

Can a bank put a lien on my Colorado workman's comp settlement if they forclosed on my house?

I was injured on the job, and subsequently did not work for 1 year. Due to my accident, I was unable to make my house payment and the bank foreclosed. They are currently renting it out, and have put a lien on my workmans comp settlement for the balance due. Is there anything that I can do about this? There is also another lawsuit pending with the construction company for negligence.

Can an employer ask an employee to work without pay in the State of New Jersey

I was given a yearly review today at my job, and my boss suggested that I work at least a half hour extra a day without pay. Is this legal in the State of NJ? I do not work on a salary basis, but, an hourly basis. And it was my understanding that an employer is not allowed to pay you zero for your time.

Does the word "excludes" in a Waiver and Release form deny unemployment compensation?

The word "excludes" in the statement below is in a Waiver and Release form I received from my former employer. If I sign this release, dose that mean that they can deny or stop my unemployment compensation? I especially do not like how they had entered: "to which I may be otherwise entitled".

"I further acknowledge that this Waiver and Release excludes any worker's compensation claims currently pending or permitted by law and further excludes any pension or unemployment compensation benefits to which I may be otherwise entitled, any claims that controlling state law clearly states that may not be released by settlement, and any claims that may arise after the date this release is signed."
