Gym Membership - Trying to get back my money

I had a gym membership and it was thru a corporate plan where had a discounted rate. It was $80.95 a month. This gym was in NYC where I worked and lived. I was let go from my former employer and human resources said they would take care of it but then got back to me and told me to call the gym services/customer service line and they would handle it.
I called in November 08' and the lady said "oh I feel so bad for you (having lost your job), don't worry I will take care of it!" Meaning-I had no form to send in.
Unfortunately for me, I just learned to cocheck my banking statements online and that's when this past July I noticed the gym was still charging me. They would not take the charges off, even with a proof of being let go from my employer, new address...please call/write me...

in addendum to my question of what defines ownership-what rights do i have against threats?

in adding to the question about my proceeds from my home, my parents have also threatened my son, and i. they are now calling people telling them horrible things about my character, which are obviously false. also, they are claiming to call child services to report abuse in attempts to have my son taken from me (all which will be proven false) but it is scaring him. i had to take him to a shrink today over this. he is very upset. further more, they have not only told my son and i, but are telling others that they will spend their entire lives ruining ours. (my son is 9)-this is ridiculous and i need to know if i have rights to make this stop? they have also threatened to call social security, (in attempts to have our survivors benefits) taken away? i don't know how to make them stop

my uncle is executor of my grandmother's estate, my mother is the executor of my granpa's since he is not my uncles father.

grandpa died first, he was like my father and wanted me to have his belongings. my uncle is keeping everything! in the house for himself and all of the rest of us are cleaning and getting the house ready for sale. he is also spending up the estates cash left by my grandfather. he is only paying family members out of the sale of the house. he's buying himself expensive fancy items and quit his job to lounge around and spend more than $10,000 he claims my grandmother said he could have after she died. there is no proof of this. anytime someone says they want something, he says "that's mine, im the executor". my grandfather hated his guts and he knows it and he's claiming his things. just the same, my grandfather wanted me to have his things and made this clear before he passed away.

I have lived in the US for well over 20+ yrs. I do have prior misdemeanors, one in 2005 for drug possession. I completed propr 36 and was taken off probation. I was recently charged w/Domestic Violence against my ex gf. I am told if I do not plead guilty to the charges of pc 242 w/an enhancement of 243(e)1 than the case will go to trial where the City Attorney will up the charges to 273.5 and add false imprisonment.
