His vehicle was not seen anywhere near the crime, but the description: Dark-skinned black male wearing jacket and jeans was dispatched and he was pulled over and one of his friends he picked up had a gun and they all had some money on them adding up to more than what was stolen. At first my son thought possibly his friends were guilty and tricked him into picking them up, now he is not even sure that his friends are guilty. He turned 18 a week ago. Today he was called into the principal's office, and received a citation from an officer for misdeameanor/felony threat as an adult. The other boy filed a claim at the school a week after the of incident, not with local authorities. My brother was removed from class in handcuffs and wrote a statement that day admitting he made that threat. Should the citation have been writen that day? Should it have the day of the incent being 2 weeks ago, or today? My brother has NEVER been in any trouble (even detention) and is now looking at time in county jail or even prison.
