I bought a puppy online from a breeder out of state. It had a clean bill of health from vet, yet I found fleas&worms. Can I sue?

I wonder how I can sue small claims for medical bills if I live in NY and they live in Texas and it was an online deal. Also there was no contract between us, just a vaccination record from the breeder's veterinarian saying the puppy was healthy & up to date with shots. I found the fleas and tape worms one day after getting the puppy.I asked the breeder to be reimbursed for medical bills($323.00) only but they refused. (The puppy was shipped via airline)

WA state custody and visitation laws, does the visitation include the non-custodial parent's spouse?

My daughter's father frequently sends his wife to pick up our daughter for visitation without him. At times, this visitation with her father involves simply meeting him for dinner, or no time with him at all because he's golfing with his grandson instead. The parenting plan provides for 5 hours on Wednesday evenings, from 5:00-9:00 pm. My daughter doesn't want to visit with her stepmother in lieu of visitation with her dad. She has repeatedly told us that her stepmother verbally abuses her, accuses her of stealing, of being bulemic, and constantly disparages her in front of her dad when they are all together. She is now refusing to go with her stepmother on Wednesday nights unless her dad is also present. Am I required to force my daughter to go with her?

Should a car dealership be listed as a previous owner of a new car

Purchased new 2010 C30 volvo. CarFax states has five entries:

8/25/09 Vehicle manufactured
9/15 Vehicle offered for sale (Ct dealership)
10/28/09 Pre-delivery Inspection completed (Ct dealership)
10/29/09 Vehicle offered for sale (Syracuse, NY dealership)
11/11/09 no recall open for repair

The retail certificate of sale lists Volvo of Westport, Ct as the prior owner.

The car is noted as "new" on all documentation.

I am curious about what this history means, especially because the car had 373 miles upon delivery (could be transport from Ct dealership to Syracuse, NY dealership)

There is an oil leak problem that the dealership is attempting to fix. But they have never been clear about where the car came from. I ran the CarFax myself. Just need some reassuring.

I am suing an old roommate for breach of contract. He is countersuing for damages I did to the car while in my posession.

I had made an oral contract with said roommate while living with him to buy his car for one thousand dollars. I moved out, paid six hundred so far, and over three thousand on repairs. I got into a small fender bender and around the same time his primary transportation broke down. He repossessed the car, won't sell it to me anymore and won't give me money for the work I did. He has had and still has the title. I spoke with a couple attorneys and have a strong case. I didn't ask a question I have thought about all day, which is if I sue for what the car's worth (repairs, payments) will he be able to countersue for the damages I caused? In contrast, if I sue for the title, will he not be able to countersue for damages? Also, what should I base the amount to sue on, other than the repairs?

May I sue airline if it didn't provide the service we need so that we had to go home from airport?

My dad has copd and needs oxygen during the flight. We applied for this service with a foreign airline for an international travel, but after we boarded, we found the airline didn't prepare enough battery for the oxygen generation device to work. We had to leave the plane and to go home. We asked explanation, but never got one.

I became the victim of immigration fraud and got a 5 yr ban from entering the US. Please help me understand how I can undo this

I entered the US in 01 w/ a F1 visa to study for a yr after which I was victimized by a fake immigration consultant who got me a work authorization card thru a supposed govt program. Turns out he forged my signature and applied for a marriage w/ a "ghost bride" whose signature he probably forged. I never heard back and became afraid so I continued to work and also set up a business which currently employs 20 providing transportation for the disabled. I left the US for good in 07 and became a Canadian Immigrant. I was still able to visit the US a few times using my valid B1 visa. Recently I was given a 5 year Ban at the border due to a deportation hearing notice that was sent out. I got a lawyer to handle the hearing on Dec 10. If that gets terminated what then can I do for my 5 year ban?

Wrongful termination?

My husband has been employeed by a very well known transportation company for 3 years with a perfect work history. He has recently been fired for what they call "a violation of company policy". These are the reasons he was given. Using the internet for non-work related instances, allowing someone else to use password while out (boss told him to do this), using email for personal use and removing the password protection from his computer (which his old computer did not have).
He has never received an employee handbook and just took an online course on security last month. Please advise if this would be worth pursuing or what can be done, if anything.

can police confiscate and use cell phones

during a traffic stop, k-9 officers confiscated my money and cell phone. took me to jail for D.W.L.I. and impounded my car for no insurance. One of the officers grabbed my phone off the hood of the patrol car during my search. He then read my text and contacts and even started answering my phone. All this taking place before I was ever arrested. After searching my car 3 times and making several threats, I was finally transported to book-in. After bonding out on the D.W.L.I. my phone and $800 cash were missing. I was told to pick up that property the next day from the PD. Some friends found out that I went to jail and informed me that the officers were answering my phone and pretending to be me. Even text some of my friends asking to bring them drugs at an unknown location.
