Can I add a letter to an aleady exsisting company name then start up a company under my new name in the same industry.

I want to start up a company but when I checked the name i wanted to use was already taken. My plan is to change the language of the words therefore adding an E to the end of the word. In doing so the company names would be pernounced the same but not have the same spellings. The two companies would be in the same industry and providing the same services. Is what I want to do Legal?

I have created a card for the holidays with The Grinch on the cover. If I am not selling these cards, but sending them out to clients, am I in any copyright violation of Dr. Seuss' book and or the latest movie?

Thank you!

Is my website which uses a variation of a phrase that is trademarked violating the trademark?

Is my website URL domain infringing on the trademark of a company who has trademarked the term without dashes in the name?

For this example lets say my informational website domain is "www.All-About-Legal-Advice.com". I found out the term "All About Legal Advice" has been trademarked as the name of a service business in another state.

The website for the business that trademarked the name does not contain the trademarked term - it's something like "www;ablallc.com".

Don't know if it means anything but on the U. S. Patent Trademark TARR status it says:

Standard Character claim: No

Transformed into a National Application: No

What can I do if my trademark was approved, I got a dba, then it was re-reviewed and denied?

I already paid for the dba and the ads for the product, not to mention that it's a video and is all ready to go out. I can't afford to re-shoot the video. Can I get sued for releasing the video when the trademark was okayed (they denied it after I released it)? It's not my fault that they re-reviewed it and denied it, right?

Registered a domain and used actively since 1999. Can a trademark filed in 2009 force me to give up my domain?

I registered a domain in 1999 called The[word1][word2][word3].com. In 2009 a company registered a trademark of [word1] [word2] [word3]. He now is threatening me with trademark infringement. His company didn't even exist until 2004 when they took the .net version of my domain.

In 2000 I registered [word1][word2][word3].com as well to avoid issues of people forgetting to put the word THE at the beginning. I have done this sort of thing with many of the domains I own and operate to guarantee I don't have people grab a domain that could be confused with mine.

Do they even have a leg to stand on? I was first to use the term in commerce. How can I stop this before it starts to cost a lot of money?

If I make lenses that are the same shape as lenses from Ray Ban sunglasses is it illegal to sell them. Not copies of the frames

Are lenses in sunglasses protected by patents or are just the frames? Would l have to get permission from the company to make lenses that people can switch with the lenses currently in their Ray Bans? Isn't it just like making a new windshield for a car or new mouse for a computer...I shouldn't need permission from the company? I will not be copying their frames or using their name/logo.
