Radar Detection!

Radar detecting like anything else is not 100% full proof. I would like to know are there ways to legally defend myself if i know that i'm ticketed because of a quoter at the end of a cop's shift and not guilty of a offense like speeding?

how far does oncoming traffic have to before it's a 'failure to yield'?

I was in making a left turn (from north to west) via a central turning lane and into a parking lot. I was in the driveway when the vehicle ahead of me stopped because the car ahead of him stopped. This left me sticking out 6" into traffic. The lead car heading southbound had just cleared a traffic light was about 100 yards away when I got stuck. She slammed into the right corner of my back bumper. I don't believe she saw me or was paying attention. 17, no license/never had one, cited before for driving w/o a license. I called police who took both stories. I was later cited for failing to yield while making a left turn because she falsely said I cut right in front of her. Contesting ticket. How far away does oncoming traffic have to be before it's no longer a yielding scenario?

Getting a public intoxication off record?

I was given a ticket for public intoxication. The ticket states that I was yelling (actually shouting for a cab) outside of a bar, when approached they could smell alcohol on me and said I stated that I was a 6 out of 10 on drunk.

I was only given a 100$ ticket and dont have to appear in court, I was not arrested or anything.

My question is, how serious is this charge? I can not find out if this is a misdemeanor or just an ordinance violation. The city of bloomington is giving me a hard time when i try and ask these questions. Should I just pay the 100 dollar fine (like a speeding ticket) or fight it in court?

Oh and the ticket says ordinance violation on it? Can that still be a misdemeanor?

Thank you!
My optional court day is march 1st

Two court supervisions in Illinois...now a ticket in Iowa...will my husband's license be suspended?

My husband has had two court supervisions for speeding within the last 12 months (dates are 12-26-08 and 1-8-09) in the our resident state of Illinois. Last week we were travelling in Iowa and he got a ticket for failing to completely stop at a stop sign (11-15-09). I have several questions:

a) How will this affect these two court supervisions (will they turn into tickets themselves?)

b) Would he even be able to get a court supervision in Iowa?

c) If he decides to plead guilty and take the ticket in Iowa...what happens if he gets another ticket within the next 12 months? Can he go for another court supervision if it has been a year since he asked for his last court supervision or will the Iowa ticket require him to go a year from the Iowa ticket's date?

I got arrested for DWI and did a blood test. What are my options on deferred disposition or pretrial diversion?

I got pulled over is austin tx. I had a dinner where I had a few drinks. I did a field test and failed partly just because being scared and my nerves. I agreed to a blood test and was not informed on the results. I am pretty sure though I did test just a little over than .08 so I am preparing my options. This is my first trouble with the law besides a few speeding tickets in the past. I was wonder in general what should I do and what options I should persue? I want to do everything to make sure I can get this off my record or at least classified as dismissed opposed to a guilty charge on my record.
