My foot was swollen so badly I could not wear shoes. I went to OHS and they said I should keep my foot elevated, iced and do no walking that wasn't necessary. Then they wrote up the paperwork to say I could return to work. I wasn't able to drive and all I could put on my foot was the bootie they gave me at OHS. I had to use vacation time in order to recuperate. I have been back to OHS two additional times so they could monitor my foot and check for infection. They say I can work, but I still must keep my foot elvated at all times. Got a new visa and started grad school in Fall 2004. Signed up for Winter 2005 classes but did not attend and probably dropped out. Haven’t spoken to or talked to foreign student services. Probably unrelated but I had an accident in December 2008. Broke my back and feet. Really serious… still getting therapy for it and seeing doctors. (Wonder if it would mean anything to immigration). Visa expires in December 2009 but my I-94 has D/S on it. Will my situation enable me to get a spouse visa if I marry my girlfriend in Summer, 2009?
