The insurance was simply an accident, disability, loss of wages policy that does me no good as he died from natural causes. He has passed away this year. I was told to wait 40 days before going to the DMV and trying to get the car in my name. I just made the last payment. Now his creditors are trying to see if he had any property in his name. Would I have to go through probate and what actions should I take to keep the car?
