what defines ownership?

my parents were left a home in a will, they gave it to me. a year later, they filed bankruptcy and didn't have the money to pay the bankruptcy, so i took out a 20k mortgage for the home, since was living in it with my child. i have recently sold the home, and my parents are claiming that it was their home, therefor-their profit. and now are threatening to sue me, and put a hold on my check. i did a title search, the home was titled in my name, although it shows 0 for the cost i paid for it--i have proof of the mortgage and taxes, and insurance i have paid since owning it. Do they have a case against me? can they sue me, and freeze my money? do they have any rights to me and my childs profit from our home?

He does have ins and happens to have with the same national company we do. I just cancelled my liabilty ins. 3 weeks ago becasue it is a 11 year old car. I don't have the money to go but a newer one. What are our rights against this individual and the insurance company?

My unlce sold his car to a friend. After the sell, my uncle turned the release of liability over to the dmv. His freind did not register the vehicle and later sold the truck to another man (who may not be a legal immigrant). The new buyer got in an accident that killed a 19 year old girl. He ran from the scene and was never caught for being irresponsible. A year later, my uncle recieves a letter from the deceased girl's insurance claiming he owes them $60,000. Is that right? And what can he do?

The DeSoto/Lancaster Police Dep in Texas. The cop arrested me because according to him I was unable to identify myself and he tood me in so they could verify my identity. When I was booked in they refused to give me any phone numbers from my cellphone so I could call my family to let them know that I was arrested. The booking officer told me that they didnt have time to allow me to get any phone numbers from my phone. I want to know what I can do as far is that Concern. I do believe that my right to a free phone call was violated. They broke the law and I want to know what I can do as far as that is concern. You can email with a response at webbcounty@gmail.com

Pulled over and could not provide proof of insurance MN

Got pulled over tonight for my back license plate light not being lit and could not find my proof of insurance in my vehicle. I got rear ended last week and gave that officer my insurance info and while I handed it to my wife, I guess she wasn't thinking and put the report # and the insurance card in her purse. Tried to explain this to the Anoka County Sheriff that pulled me over but he decided to write me a citation and now I guess I have to go to court for this to explain it. So my question is would I have to still pay for the ticket and can I do anything to show that I was covered and not have to go into court for it?

Is it wise to continue?

Having received rewards that is just the insurance offered but not the plaintiff’s demand in a small claims court, is it wise to go to the civil court and try more or just take it and run? Do you think whether the attorney will be interested in such an already awarded case in the civil court and try more?

Involved in a car accident where i was not at fault. The person at fault was unisured. Have been through two lawyers already.

The other person was at fault and cited at the scene. I only have limited liability insurance and was not aware of uninsured motorist insurance. Was out of work for a whole month, couldn't pay bills, so now basically i'm stuck with bad credit for the next 7 years and all bills accrued from the accident totaling to more than $5,000. The two different lawyers I have talked to say they can't help me and have dismissed the case. The lawyers or I can't get ahold of the other person. Filed for a small claims lawsuit but justice of the peace is concerned about another issue and not that the defendant didn't show up to court. Something about ambulance chasers. I need help or guidance.

what kinds of reimbursements am I entitled to from the insurance company?

While I was working for my former employer who had instigated a law suit against some of his former employees, I was personally named in the cross complaint. Since then my employment has been terminated and my finances have been cut off. The insurance company for my ex employer hired an attorney to defend the cross complain who said that I would be reimbursed for my time and expenses. How do I go about getting reimbursement and what are the appropriate hourly payments that I can expect?

Can I sue?

This is under the state of Texas. My husband has an 18 year old son who is still a sophomore in high school. He is also working part time. Can he stop child support? Also...this same son had a medical problem years ago for which he had to be admitted into a hospital. My husband and his insurance at the time paid all the expenses but his son's mother falsely claimed in court that it was all paid in cash out of her pocket. The judge did not even bother to take a look at the evidence (the judge actually refused to look at any paper work he hd) he had that he and his insurance paid for it all and he ordered him to pay back child support. My husband did not have money to get a lawyer at the time and he did not know much abou the law. He is still paying back child support for the hospital expens
