I and a co-worker (state) recently filed a racial discrimination and nepotism in hiring claim against another co-worker (state).

I and a co-worker (state) recently filed a racial discrimination in hiring, and nepotism in hiring claim against another co-worker (state). The claim was not thoroughly investigated. My co-worker was not interviewed following completion of the cliam form. I was interviewed only after contacting the investigator about the status of the complaint. We resently got the results of the investigation saying that no unlawful practice was found even though all parties were not interviewed and it was determined that family relationships existed. Also a carbon copy of the results letter sent to us was sent to the accused and to my boss. What can I do since the investigation was not thorough? Was our confidentiality breached?

Employer - verbal abuse, worker leaves and proves just cause with help of witnesses. They are now questioned by employer.

The last episode of verbal abuse from employer resulted in one co worker having a stroke that same afternoon. Worker in question who bore full brunt of abuse finally says he wants to leave. Employer gets angry and tells him he wants him to stay and admits "I went to a place where I should not have gone. You have no idea how volatile I can be." Worker has been with company 22 yrs and leaves but offers to complete projects for no pay as gesture of good will. Worker ends up in hospital with high blood pressure. Same day the employer cuts medical, cell phone and informs co workers the worker is no longer with company. (Worker was never informed.) Witnesses to abuse help worker establish just cause for unemployment. Now witnesses are being questioned by employer. Please advise

Unfair termination

I'm 19 and was newly hired in a retail position. The "acting" managers (never had a head store manager) highly praised my work and sent me to a very expensive week-long training out of state in addition to the regular store training. One week after training I was called into the office with Loss/Prevention and told I had given cash back without a receipt on three occasions - the last time a month ago. They interrogated me and told me to "come clean" about anything I had done. I was told there would be an investigation - the next day my boss called and said I was fired for not following company policy with regards to giving cash back w/o a receipt. I'm devastated. If they knew I made a mistake why didn't they correct me the first time? I didn't get a warning or anything.

I was fired by owner's son for "being slow n' stuff" but fmr employer is telling EDD I was fired for being under the influence.

I was hired at a cellular phone store and after 3 weeks I was terminated by the manager. Im not making this up...the reason given to me at the time of termination was "I was slow n' stuff". I was given nothing as far as termination paperwork...not even COBRA info. I was given my last paycheck with commissions and left quietly. Almost a year later when I tried to file for Unemployment my former employer told California EDD that I was fired for using drugs or alcohol during a break period.

I plan on appealing the initial decision for obvious reasons but what if the owner, the son (manager) and who knows else all come to the appeal and back up these lies with false testimony?

I was never told to submit to a drug test because thats not why I was fired but I would have if asked.

Can I Sue my employer?

My story is long so I will try and make this enough to understand in this short note.
I work for a company that asked me to go undercover in January of this year. The investigaton lasted 4 months. In January, February, and March I worked undercover. In April, I was put on administrative leave. I have been told that my company settled out of court with the other company for 7 million dollars and the investigation also resulted in over two hundred of my companies employees losing their jobs. When I was recruited to go undercover, I was told that only four people in my company would know about the investigation other than me and that my company was only going after the other company. They said they just wanted this theft to stop. The people I was told would know about this were the CEO, the
