Over a year ago the car was repoed. i informed them that the car was at the repair shop, and i gave them the name, they never picked it up.
I found out about a week ago they didnt pick it up,when i called them they stated that they had abandoned the car and didnt care what happened to it.There are storage fees due and i want to know if the repair shop can go after them for it.I also dont want to repair it until i get a letter from them stating that they did abandoned the car, they have also charged me with a repo for the car on my credit.

If a negative item has aged off my report, does that mean that it no longer exists?

Another question came to mind after I reviewed my most recent credit report. The last time, there were 18 negative items on my report, I disputed a few at the time due to their age. The report I received yesterday had 3, with one due to age off my report next month; although it is a collection account that is a duplicate for one retained by the original lender, so it appears TWICE. The original lender claims it is Transferred, closed and never late; although the collection account is the one due to age off, the original is scheduled for another 2 years, which is 12 years total that it appears on my report.

My credit report shows me as joint credit card account with my exhusband. I have never had a joint credit card account with him.

The credit card account is with my exhusbands credit union. We had a joint car loan with them and because of that i beleive they listed me as joint on his credit card because he stopped paying. I would like to get this removed but the credit union would not talk to me regarding his account. I wrote to Equifax and they would not remove it. I need help. Thanks

How to remove a broken lease on a credit report.

Back in 2004 I lived in apt. complex in Las Vegas NV. My lease had ended and was on a month to month. Durring this time I had several issues with the property. The air conditioning unit would brakedown and it would take several days to repair it then it would break down again. I had a leak that went from the second floor bathroom to the first floor bathroom that they kept patching up but never repairing. The final thing was when I went down one morning my water heater had exploded and several inches of water was on the floor. I contacted the management and the only thing the did was pump the water out, pull the carpet up, replace the pad and put the old carpet back down. I left that weekend with no notice. Now I have it as mone owed to them on my credit, how do I get rid of it?

How do I stop my bank from taking funds from my checking account during a short sale?

I have two mortgages, one through my bank. I am in the process of doing a short sale and the bank told my agent they did not care if I was doing a short sale, that I needed to remain current on my loan. The bank then froze my checking account and took a loan payment. My account is now overdrawn. The whole reason I am doing a short sale is because I can no longer pay my mortgage payments. I am trying to get into a better situation by paying off debt and repairing my credit. Is there a way to get that money back and stop this from happening in the future?

Auto mechanic failed to fix problem, will not honor service warranty.

My car was serviced for an obnoxious squealing noise under the hood. On the work order, I wrote "fix the squealing noise under the hood." When I picked the car up, the noise had disappeared.

A few days later, a hint of the noise started to surface and within two weeks the sound was as obnoxious as it ever was. I took the vehicle back to the shop, wrote the same thing on the work order, and demanded the problem be fixed. I paid a second time to have this same problem fixed.

Within a few days, the sound resurfaced. Now the shop says repair will be very costly and the shop's warranty will not honor my claim. I beg to differ.

I feel like I am getting scammed here. I confronted the mechanic on this issue and he advised that I get a lawyer involved.

Should brother-in-law turn himself him?

It just came to our attention that my BIL used his father's information to open a credit card last year. Payments have been missed and the cc company started tracking down anyone they could for payment which is how this all came to light.. What is the best way to handle this situation? He is a young guy, not relaizing the ultimate stupidity of this. It's gone into the fraud claims department with the cc company. Should he call the cc company? Get a lawyer and turn himself into police? Wait it out? Although his dad is not condoning his behavior he also doesn't want his son serving time. We are just looking for some advice and information about what to expect with all of this.

We have a small business in Georgia. What is the proper procedure for filing a mechanic's lien on a dirt bike?

We have a small business in Georgia. A customer brought their dirt bike in for repair. The estimate was done and the customer was called, the customer stated he would pick bike up. This was over three months ago, we have tried contacting him by phone with no success. We sent him a certifiied letter, signature requested and it was returned to us. The owner filed an abanded vehicle with the county court last week.
We received a note back from the judge stating we had to publish a notice in the paper. Do we file that under legal notices/credit debits?
Is this something we just type out and take to the local newspaper to publish?

Thanks for your help.
