Can I add a letter to an aleady exsisting company name then start up a company under my new name in the same industry.

I want to start up a company but when I checked the name i wanted to use was already taken. My plan is to change the language of the words therefore adding an E to the end of the word. In doing so the company names would be pernounced the same but not have the same spellings. The two companies would be in the same industry and providing the same services. Is what I want to do Legal?

My company is nervous that freelancers with LLCs that pay tax like sole proprietors will be mistaken for employees.

My company is afraid to hire LLCs to do freelance work. To address Kaiser Wahab's answer to a previous post: 1) How should a freelancer get a contract that expressly states the vendor is a contractor?
2) The single member vendor would file their taxes similar to a sole proprietor as a "disregarded entity".
3) the vendor would not have control over the manner and timing of the services provided.

So how can a freelancer who wishes to form an LLC as a single member reassure my company that they will not be mistaken for employees without going so far as being taxed like a corporation? For example, can they get a separate EIN from their social security number and still file a sole proprietorship tax return?

Would I have to go through probate for a car that was paid by me but still in my father's name?

My father took a loan out for a car meant for me and I was to make the payments. He has passed away this year. I was told to wait 40 days before going to the DMV and trying to get the car in my name. I just made the last payment. Now his creditors are trying to see if he had any property in his name. Would I have to go through probate and what actions should I take to keep the car? This is the only property he has and is probably only worth 8,000.

Should go to court for open contianer by passenger in Georgia

I had been drinking for the night, I had a friend come pick me up and take me home. He pulled out in front of a car and it happens to be a police car. I had a Mike's Hard Lemonade with me but the can was empty but what little was left in it had spilled on the floor. The officer cited me for an open container citation.
I really don't have a problem paying the fine but I am trying to get into the US Air Force officer program and the citation might hurt my chances. My recruiter want me to go to court and try to get the ticket dismissed.
Do I have any chances of getting a dismissal? I have never been to court and only recieved a minor speeding ticket.
