Re-Arraignment- Texas Law says 72 hrs for incarcerated person, how can they take 6 weeks?????????????????

Texas law states if you are incarcerated you get an arraignment in 72 hours. We have an attorney, not court appt. he has been paid big money up front. It did not concern him when my grandson went up for arraignment and the DA's office didn't have a file. Now it
has take from 10/2 until 11/23, count the weeks yourself, and he just got his arraignment.

We feel his Civil Right have been violated. If you are entitled to an arraignment within 72 hour just because the DA has an inadequate staff should not mean the person has to
set in jail over 6 weeks to get due process, does it? Has he been undermined by his attorney because the attorney hasn't ever said anything?

Why do insurance companies do this during a personal injury case?

I don't quite understand how insurance companies handle personal injury cases. I don't understand why they go through the process of an IME, deposition and other such expenses which cost them just to later settle the case. I can see about the deposition. But what is the true purpose of a IME, at this point in time everyone already knows what an IME doctor will say "their is nothing wrong with he or she". Why go through all the expenses to just settle a case?

First time DUI Minnesota

I was given a first time DUI over the weekend blowing a 1.3. I was pulled over because my headlight had gone out that day.We were driving back a few blocks to our hotel and were pulled over as I pulled into the hotel lot. I have no record of any kind and not even a speeding ticket in my life. What are the chances I can plead this down from DUI if any. I was fully cooperative and was driven back to the hotel by the cops that night.

As an atheist, can I object to my employer requiring me to say "happy holidays" and wearing an apron with christmastreegiftcards

I am an atheist. Recently my store manager has begun carrying out a policies that are quite disturbing to me. First, she is insisting upon me answering the phone and greeting customers with the phrase "Happy Holidays," even though she knows I am an atheist and do not practice such holidays. Also, she is insisting upon me wearing an apron with gift cards shaped in Christmas Trees affixed to hit with Christmas lights around them. I have drafted a memo to inform my manager of my request for reasonable accommodation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. I would greatly appreciate any advice you could give

Re: arraignment

I looked up Texas Law and it says if you are incerated at the time you should have an arraignment within 72 hours and that is when
bond should be set. It states that if they don't do so you may have other optioins even to the point of dismissal. Right now my
grandson is in the County Jail because his wife set him us (which
we have proof of but the attorney doesn't want to show any of
his evidence to the DA) Also, my grandson was told not to talk to
the detective unless he was present and he never made a time
that he would be available. Has my grandson CIVIL RIGHTS
BEEN VIOLATED? My grandson says the reason they have
such a high conviction rate there is the is someone they everyday
pressuring them to take a plea bargan, is that legal?

Anyone out there in Austin who has filed vs Tx Att Gen Crime Victims: please note we have the transcript re: hearings when Cornyn was Att Gen Crime Victims while his staff was stealing the crime victim's funds. Ain't life great to be a real American of generations and be treated like you are the illegal on your own soil! ACLU aids illegals along with Tx Civil Rights Project:who is there for innocent victims of illegals? Oh, in state tuition, auto welfare or be Adon_Caranza_Madison HS an illegal provided w/scholarship to UT. That is the reward of heirs of the ALAMO for giving their lives?

If someone calls the police and states a complaint against you shouldn't the police come talk to you about it? It was a fluke that we found this FALSE complaint so now what do we do to clear it up. Again, its a false complaint.
