Unmarried with 6 month old - want my partner to adopt her from genetic father

I want the genetic father to let my partner adopt my baby. He is very controlling, verbally abusive and still wants to have a relationship with me.
The baby has know my partner since I was 2 months pregnant, and has been her daddy through pregnancy and birth. She is now 6 months and knows who her parents are.
The genetic dad has been very legally aggressive and pushy to get unreasonable amounts of time with her, since she was 3 months old. and won't really listen to me about how to care for her properly. He doesn't seem to care so much about her as he does about control and power.
Because things are so rough it's hard to talk to him but I really wish I could ask him to let my partner adopt her. I truly believe she would have a better quality of life - not being split from us with 1 home.

Should I file a malpractice lawsuit against my anestesiologist?

I had a scheduled c-section in June of 08 - during the operation, I could not feel myself breathing and had a panic attack - the anestesiologist was no help during the episode to calm me down and promptly sedated me after my baby was born. My OB just recently told me that I was given too much medicine - I have to have another scheduled c-section in the coming months and am terrified of going through this again as my OB does not want me completely sedated for the birth of this baby. I have no lasting physical effects.

Anyways I have nasty scars from the surgery and my lower abdomen still hurts from time to time. I would like to know is this worthy of suing. When I went to the doctors I remember my mom lying to the doctors stating that it was like that by birth. I want to know if I can still sue my sister.

Yasmin mass tort - looking for representation

I suffered a near-fatal pulmonary embolism due to the drug Yasmin and am interested in joining one of the various Mass Torts now starting. I'm confused about how to handle this situation. Many lawyers have reached out to me. How can I distinguish between an ambulance chaser who's no good and a terrific firm who will represent me in the best way possible for the best outcome possible? I've used Martindale.com to do background searchs, but this only gets me so far.... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My hospitlization was physically and emotionally traumatic, and the last thing I need is a client/lawyer relationship that is not optimal. If I'm to move forward with Mass Tort, I only want to do so with good representation.
