It can take an insurance lawyer just to determine if your loss resulted from a risk you were insured for. Sometimes insurance companies will deny claims, acting in what is legally called “bad faith.” Insurance lawyers can determine if your insurer is treating you fairly and sue for you if the company is acting in bad faith.
