This case involved a baby who had sustained a significant arm injury during the course of her birth due to the excessive force used by the delivering physician. Prior to trial the defense failed to offer any money to settle this case and took the position that they were going to win this case. Throughout the entirety of the case, they maintained that position until the jury came out with a jury verdict of 3.4 million dollars on this no offer case.
