Weber v. Jolly Hotels

This case involved a slip and fall injury in a hotel in Italy by an American traveler, Suit was instituted in New Jersey against the hotel, which then moved to dismiss the case, claiming there was no jurisdiction by courts sitting in New Jersey. The plaintiff raised the issue of the hotel's web site and other factors as establishing jurisdiction by courts in New Jersey. The United States District Court of the District of New Jersey decided the jurisdiction issue in Weber v. Jolly Hotels, published at 977 F. Supp. 327 (D.N.J. 1997).
