Tobin v Utility Vault, et al.

Tobin was assisting the placement of a large concrete fuel tank. Boom operator prematurely lifted the tank, which spun and crushed Tobin between it and a solid upright concrete bollard. Serious and severe hip, low back and leg damage; we also handled his workers comp case which progressed to a total permanent disability. Case is notable for my partner Dave Lauman's appellate work concerning DLI's lien and whether it extends to general damages (it does not).
