Verdict for Plaintiff $1,200,000.

Wrongful death claim brought by husband stemming from the death of his 44 year old wife who presented to a local emergency room complaining of chest pain. She was diagnosed with pneumonia, and discharged home. Six hours later she suffered cardiac arrest at home. She was not able to be resuscitated, and was pronounced dead upon arrival to the ER. Defendants claimed there was no evidence of cardiac disease, and that her doctor acted reasonably in diagnosing an infection and discharging her home. Jury returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $1,200,000.
