Matter of John Doe (Colombian National)

Colombian national came to US and overstayed Visa by more than one year. Filed for Asylum, Withholding of Removal, and relief under the Convention Against Torture. We were able to show that he met the higher standard for relief such that he was granted Withholding, though Asylum was not granted because he filed beyond the one year deadline and was not able to establish an exception to the one year rule.
