Settlement of $1,215,000 included funds from John Doe's insurer and plaintiff's UIM insurer as well as a partial reimbursement waiver from plaintiff's health insurer. In addition, a confidential amount was received at mediation from Defendant Subaru.

Plaintiff was a passenger in a Subaru being driven by John Doe. The vehicle rolled. During the roll, plaintiff's door opened and her leg was rolled over by the vehicle. Substantial injury to the leg, but no amputation required.

A negligence claim was pursued against the driver and a product liability claim for defective design was pursued against Subaru with respect to the passenger door latch and restraint system.
