The case was set for trial at a show cause hearing.

The case was factually difficult in large part because the landlord had drafted and forwarded to the tenant via email a lease addendum the terms of which were unfavorable later when the landlord wanted to evict the tenant.

After a two day bench trial a judgment was entered against the tenant and the tenant was evicted. The tenant was awarded a modest amount on his counterclaim, but only a fraction of the damages he was asking the court to award.
