Thomas W. Carey is the senior partner at the Law Offices of Carey Leisure where he uses his own personal history to fuel the work that he now devotes to his clients. After losing his wife to a drunk driving accident, the attorney took a position as the State Chairman for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in 1986. He served as the Pinellas County President of the foundation from 1984-1985. To this day, the attorney continues to stay actively involved in the organization, and he has been instrumental in co-founding Tampa Bay’s very own Remove Intoxicated Drivers (RID) program.
Admitted to the bar in 1977, Attorney Carey has been practicing law for well over 30 years, and he is now admitted to practice in Florida, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. Tax Court. One-hundred percent of the attorney’s practice is dedicated to the litigation of personal injury cases, wrongful death cases, cemetery malpractice, and funeral home malpractice. AV® Preeminent™ Rated and listed in Miami Herald’s Super Lawyers®, four years in the running, Attorney Carey is well-respected among his peers and past clients alike.
The active attorney has been so successful in his career that he is now also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum® for the substantial settlements and verdicts he has achieved on behalf of his clients. He was also included among the Best Lawyers in America from 2007-2010, as well as the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers™ from 2006-2010, and Tampa Bay’s Best Lawyer Personal Injury, Tampa Bay Magazine, July / August 2008 Edition.
