About Me

I am a peoples lawyer. I only represent real people who are accused of a crime or have been injured.  I grewup in a small town of the shore of Lake Miscigan. After graduation from high school I worked for 8 years as an unskilled laborer in various manufacturing companies including a three year stint as an armed security officer at a nuclear power plant.  I graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community college in 1992 and completed 3/4 of an industrial engineering degree at Western Michigan University before working as an industrial engineer at a manufacturing company in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  In a short time I was promoted to shift supervisor and spent the next 4 years in various manufacturing management roles.

In 1995 I graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.S. in Political Science and in 1997 entered law school at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois graduating with a Juris Doctorate Degree in 2000.  After law school I passed the Missouri Bar exam that summer and moved to Springfield, MO.

I have been a trial lawyer now for 14 years mainly doing criminal defense, auto accident, and appellate cases.  I am licensed to practice in both state and federal courts including:

All Missouri state courts;

Federal District Court for the Western District of Missouri;

Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri;

Federal 8th Circuit Court of Appeals; and

The U.S. Supreme Court.

Won a case in 2003 the was named one of the 100 most important cases in the State of Missouri for 2003.  In 2009 I graduated from the prestigious Trial Lawyers College founded by the great trial attorney Gerry Spence. I was fortunate to have been able to study under Gerry Spance at his ranch in Wyoming. There are only approximately 1500 TLC graduates in the entire country, made up of some of the best trial lawyers in the United States.
