Erik Ahlander attended law school at William S. Boyd School of Law (UNLV) in Las Vegas, Nevada. During his first year of law school, Erik’s academic achievements placed him in the top third of his class. After graduating in 2005, Erik took and successfully passed the Nevada bar and became a licensed Nevada attorney in October of 2005.
Having been an attorney with the firm now for over 8 years, Erik represents clients who sustained injuries from a variety of sources. While Erik handles many automobile and motorcycle accident cases, he also has cases where his clients have been injured by defective power tools, slip/trip-and-falls at retailers and casinos, animal bites, defective toilets, improperly hinged doors, defective elevator doors, work-related injuries, among others. Because of his work for such injured victims, Erik has had the opportunity to get to know many of the medical doctors in Clark County, Nevada who provide top-notch medical care to his clients.
Erik has been successful in settling numerous personal injury cases including the following: $765,000 settlement of a freeway collision case; $350,000 settlement of a trip and fall case; $200,000 settlement against homeowner’s association for icy walkways which caused his client to slip and break his shoulder; $120,000 settlement for lady who injured her shoulder in hotel elevator doors; $100,000 settlement for snow-skiing accident victim, among countless others.
Erik enjoys representing injured victims against insurance companies and is satisfied when his clients are fully compensated for their injuries. Part of what makes Erik and the Henness & Haight team so great is that he has outstanding and hard-working assistants who help him prepare the case files for negotiations or legal proceedings. His primary assistant, Patricia, is also bilingual in English and Spanish, which helps Erik represent many Spanish-speaking clients in the southern Nevada area.
