Contracting. Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and revising various business and vendor agreements, such as service agreements, third party administration agreements, insurance agreements, and business associate agreements.

Regulatory Compliance Counseling. Extensive compliance counseling with a focus on Affordable Care Act, ERISA, COBRA, Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA portability rules, HIPAA Privacy (including drafting, training and advising on privacy policies and procedures, handling Business Associate Contracts, and performing HIPAA breach analysis); DOMA Decision – addressing impact of Supreme Court’s DOMA decision on plan operations.

Legal Document Drafting and Review. Drafting, reviewing and revising various legal documents,  policies and procedures, marketing materials, SPDs, company communications, among others.

Benefit Plan Operations. Advising businesses on day- to- day administration of insured and self-insured group health and welfare benefit plans ( medical, dental, vision, HRAs, EAPs, HSAs, wellness programs, student health plans, life insurance, disability plans, etc.) Counseling on claim and appeal procedures; advising fiduciary committees.

Audits: Handling government audits such as Department of Labor audits;

Court Orders: Handling court orders such as Qualified Medical Child Support Orders and Notices.
