About Me

Jonathan’s practice focuses on family and criminal law.  He handles divorces, paternity, child custody and support issues, along with representing clients faced with drunk driving offenses, misdemeanors and felonies.  Jonathan appears in Circuit and District Courts throughout Michigan and is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and the State of New York. 

 

Jonathan graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, and was a recipient of the prestigious Fred L. Leckie and Odette Whipple Law Scholarships, and participated in the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Competition. Today, Jonathan continues to support this Competition by serving as a guest judge.

 

Jonathan is a former New York City Assistant District Attorney and former Oakland County (Michigan) Assistant Prosecutor.  He has prosecuted thousands of high profile felony, misdemeanor and drunk driving cases. During his career as a prosecutor, Jonathan had a 100 percent conviction rate, having never lost a jury or bench trial.

 

Along with being a former prosecutor, Jonathan was also a faculty member at Kingsborough College in New York City, where he lectured on criminal law, criminal justice and constitutional law.  Jonathan is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association and the Washtenaw County Bar Association.
